To celebrate our 20th Anniversary we’re holding a summer draw with 20 fantastic prizes on offer – from a luxury summer hamper, tickets to Derby Theatre and Derby County Football Club to £50 cash, plus many more exciting prizes for all the family. It’s a sad day in the Careline office, as we say goodbye to our Assistant Manager Mary Beale who starts her well-earned retirement today.

Mary began her involvement with Careline as a volunteer before becoming the Assistant Manager of the charity in 2008.  Since then she has worked tirelessly for the organisation, whether that be the day-to-day activities, fundraising events, strawberry teas, volunteer training and mentoring, support for members or single-handedly managing the move of the charity to its new base at St Oswald’s Hospital!   Mary has played a pivotal role in the success of Careline and helped to shape the values which it embodies today.
We know you’ll join us in thanking her for all the hard work and dedication that she has shown to Careline over the last ten years and in wishing her a very happy retirement! She will be greatly missed but we hope that she’ll keep in touch with us all.

Thank you to everyone from Careline, Betty’s Sewing Box and Ashbourne Singers who bought a raffle ticket to win the stunning throw made by our very talented volunteer Jocelyn Dacie. Congratulations to Sharon Amy from Ashbourne Singers whose winning ticket was drawn last Friday by Careline volunteer Coral Hodges. We’re really grateful to Jocelyn for donating the throw, which we know took many hours to make. You have have all helped us to raise a fantastic £100!
